Insights: Kannawidan Festival

Kannawidan is a very popular event held in Ilocos Sur every first week of February. The Ilocano people revives their traditional practices.

Kannawidan Festival is an occasion to strengthen the ilocano culture and bring's out the beauty of Ilocos Sur, it is also a way to celebrate and give thanks for their good harvests. In this festival they bring out their One-Town-One-Product (OTOP) in order for other people to see or to taste the best products they have.

Kannawidan Festival is indeed a good festival because it really brings out the beauty our Ilocos Sur province have. And it's a best way to show how ilocano people never forget the culture they have.

Reflection Version 3.0

                Another grading is done and the last and hardest part of our year is now here.

                Last grading was very hard, it was challenging yet so great because we learn lot of things. Those lessons we have learned can be applied on our future needs. ICT subject can really help us because we all know that in today’s generation we really need modern gadgets. It is very helpful to me, to others. And I know that I can use it on the next and most hardest part of our life as a student- COLLEGE.

New Year, New Me

                As another year enters all of us want to have CHANGE. And as it enters we try to change some of our attitudes and also our looks.

                2015- As this year enters I want to have CHANGE, for myself- a new me to be exact. I want to be more serious on my studies. Because last year I wasn’t that serious on my studies but now I realized that I am a graduating student and I need to become more serious to have a better grade. I do really want many things to change in me but to become more serious in my studies is FIRST.

                Change is good if it’s for the better. So try to change your worst to the best.

Essence of Christmas

As the month of December enters the year, Christmas Songs are being played and we can see Christmas decors all around our place. But as this season enters what do you always think? Is it all about the gifts you receive or what? What is the true essence of Christmas?

                For me the true essence of Christmas is about the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ, not Santa Claus nor the Aguinaldos. We must always keep on our mind that Christmas is about when Jesus Christ was born. It’s about how God gave as our Savior. Christmas is also giving love to your family, friends and also enemies. Christmas is also about sharing your blessings and giving thanks to our Lord. But we must keep on our mind that Christmas will always be remembering the birth of Jesus Christ.

                Remembering the birth of our Savior, giving love and sharing is the true essence of Christmas for me.

       Climate- the sum of the prevailing weather conditions of a place over a period of time. Change- is alteration. So if we put this two words together, it is climate change, and it means that this is the alteration of the sum of the prevailing weather.

          Nowadays, climate change is a big PROBLEM. We all know that human are also causing this Climate Change because some human activities like burning fossil fuels. Earth must get rid of energy as it receive energy. More heat means more effect on the Earth. So we must reduce greenhouse or burning fossil fuels if we want to save Mother Earth.

          All of us has its own way of writing and speaking. Like writing essays, poems, stories and many more. We also have our own way of speaking like delivering a speech or others. But as we speak and write do we really use our hearts and minds?

          As a student we are very trained in making compositions, we need knowledge in completing this kind of tasks. We must love what we are doing in order for us to make good outputs. We must always give our best if we want to have a better outcome.

       In today’s generation, there is discrimination. Not only in the state of one’s life but also in gender. There are this what we call gay and lesbian. And this discrimination is causing a big PROBLEM in our society, because of this we can’t have equal rights and opportunities.

          All of us wants to have equal rights and equal opportunities, rights for all things, our rights decide all by ourselves. Rights to choose the thing we want, to do what we want. And not only rights, but all of us wants to have equal opportunities. We must be given opportunities to have work not only for girls and boys but also for the gays and lesbians.
